Services
Here at Marshland Media, I teach churches like yours how to develop their own web presence. From scratch. Using mostly free tools like…
- And interactive websites
The downside – if that’s the way you see it – is that you have to put in the effort for your platform. I’m not interested in working with churches that want a firm to take over all the responsibility. I’m interested in helping churches develop themselves.
The upside is that your church grows more and more equipped so eventually you’re self-sustaining and don’t need me anymore.
To do that, I offer a combination of three services:
- Lessons
- Monitoring
- Support
Lessons
Think of these like music lessons. Each week, I guide you or a church staff member through your church’s day to day online development, teaching strategies and tactics for leveraging the Internet to connect with your members and others.
I conduct each of these weekly, 30 minute lessons by phone to start out. If you’re willing, we’ll transition them to video chat sessions after the first few weeks.
In addition, once per month, we’ll have an extended, one-hour session, which will focus on more in-depth material to keep you moving forward.
Bonus: If you’re located in the Louisville area, I like to meet in person for this once per month session. I encourage clients to include multiple staff members/volunteers in this meeting if possible so everyone’s on the same page.
Monitoring
Let’s continue our music lesson analogy. In most cases, music students spend the first half of their lessons playing the pieces the teacher assigns for practice. Teachers know one of the primary benefits of tutoring is personal accountability. But this leaves only about half of each lesson for instruction time.
Thanks to the Internet, I can provide that accountability without eating into your lessons. I monitor your progress in real time during the week so we can spend the majority of our time together correcting and learning instead of rehashing what you’ve done already. Also, if I notice some obvious issue during the week, I’ll let you know immediately instead of waiting until the next lesson.
Overall, monitoring is one more way I streamline the whole process to save you time and help you get the most out of each lesson.
Support
Finally, you’ll also have access to ask me any questions along the way. I try to limit this to one or two pressing questions per week (if it’s much more, I’m not doing a good job with the lessons). Still, I’m super flexible with clients and try to help out whenever I can.
